Payment Policy
Payments
All payments are due in full at the time services are rendered. This includes all office visits, treatments, procedures, medications, grooming, and products. We do not offer any in-house payment plans. We do accept third-party financing options such as Cherry, Care Credit, and Scratch Pay. Along with the following payment methods: Cash, Check and all major credit cards.
**Returned or declined payments may result in additional fees, including but not limited to $35 bounced check fee or $40 late payment fee**
**Beginning April 1, 2026, we will be implementing a 3% surcharge fee to all credit card payments for both locations.**
Estimates
Treatment plans and estimates are provided upon request. Please note that estimates are not exact quotes.
Additional diagnostics or treatments may be necessary to provide the best care for your pet.
Deposits
Deposits are taken prior to any service and are applied toward the final balance. If the deposit is more than the final cost, the difference can either be left as a credit on your account here at Florence Animal Hospital or refunded to the original payment method. Refunds to the original payment method may take between 5-10 business days, depending on the bank. If the deposit does not cover the full amount, then the final payment is due at the time of pick up.
**A deposit may be required for: Surgical procedures, Hospitalization, Extended or specialized treatments or Special ordered medication. **
Past Due Accounts
Any unpaid balances are considered past due. Accounts with outstanding balances may be subject to:
• Late Payment fees of $40, 1.5% finance monthly fee, and Final Statement Fees of $175.
• Suspension of non-emergency services
• Referral to a collection’s agency
Client Responsibility
The owner or authorized agent is fully responsible for all charges incurred for the patient, regardless of insurance or third-party reimbursement.
